Distributor
& Dealer Relations
Distributors
play a vital role in the RV Industry.
They provide strategic
locations to the market they serve in order to service their
customers on a daily basis.
They buy in large quantities to distribute in a timely manner at
the dealers request.
Every dealership has a choice of many buying sources.
Because of this, distributors maintain a well-trained sales
staff.
It
is not uncommon for the distributor sales person to represent anywhere
from 5000 to 15000 SKU’s.
Their focus is not selling the individual items but to forge a
relationship with their customers to sell the distributors name and
programs.
It also becomes impossible, because of quantity, for them to be
experts on all products.
With
the RV Alliance Group, we represent a limited number of products.
With this intense focus of selling limited lines at the dealer
level, we create a pull through system that has proven itself over time.
We are able to form a strong bond with the distributors and
dealers, which enables our
principals to enter the market quickly and then create a demand
for the products through dealer education.
Each
member firm of the RV Alliance Group has an extensive database of all
the dealerships in their respective territories.
We have established close working relationships with them because
we have serviced these
territories for many years.
This
also enables us to categorize them by total dollar volume:
“A”
Dealers = Highest Sales Volume
“B”
Dealers = Mid-level Sales Volume
“C”
Dealers = Lowest Sales Volume
While
all dealers are considered important, over 75% of our time is
devoted to focusing on the “A” and “B” Dealers who
represent 95% of the buying dollars.
